It takes about 60 seconds.

Your child's teacher knows his or her name. And his or her work.

When there are fewer students in the room, a teacher can see when your child is stuck. Not at test time. On a Tuesday afternoon. That's when the help happens.

Instruction that adjusts to your child. Not the other way around.

Every student gets taught at the level he or she is actually at. If your child is behind, he or she gets caught up. If your child is ahead, he or she gets pushed. Nobody waits for the slowest student in the room.

Progress tracked and reported. Not guessed.

The school measures how much each student grows every year. That's not the same as measuring where they rank. Growth means your child moves forward. Every child, every year.

Your child gets noticed for trying, not just performing.

The school runs a daily recognition program. If your child shows up, does the work, and pushes through the hard part, he or she hears about it. Not just at the end of the year. Every day.
